Objective To analyze cancer incidence and mortality in Xinjiang cancer registration areas in 2020 and the trends from 2016 to 2020. Method Collect the tumor incidence and death data reported by four tumor registration regions in Xinjiang in 2020, and calculate the crude incidence and death rate of malignant tumors, the standardized rate of Chinese population (bid winning rate), the standardized rate of world population (world standard rate), the age category rate, and the cumulative rate of 0-74 years old according to the urban and rural, gender stratification, respectively. The bid winning rate and the world standard rate are calculated according to the age composition of China's standard population in 2000 and the age composition of Segi's world standard population.Using Joinpoint to conduct trend analysis on the incidence and mortality of malignant tumors from 2016 to 2020, and estimate the Annual Average Percentage Change (AAPC). Results In 2020, the reported incidence rate(crude rate) in Xinjiang cancer registration areas was 291.67/105 (286.64/105 for male,296.64/105 for female), ASIRC and ASIRW were 190.43/105and 206.58/105and the cumulative incidence rate(0~74 years old)was 20.51%. The reported mortality rate(crude rate)was 185.58/105 ((218.79/105for male, 152.78/105for female),ASMRC and ASMRW were 109.13/105and 126.64/105,and the cumulative mortality rate(0-74 years old) was 11.54%.Among the rankings of cancer incidence lung cancer ranked first, incidence rate(crude rate) 51.13/105 ,followed by female breast cancer, thyroid cancer, colorectal cancer and stomach cancer. Among the rankings of cancer mortality lung cancer ranked first, mortality rate(crude rate)41.14/105, followed by liver cancer, colorectal cancer, stomach cancer and female breast cancer. There was no significant change in the incidence and mortality of malignant tumors from 2016 to 2020( incidence AAPC=2.95%,mortality AAPC=8.51%, P>0.05). Conclusion Lung cancer and digestive system cancers (colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer) remain the primary malignancies threatening the health of residents in Xinjiang. Meanwhile, female breast cancer has entered the top five in both incidence and mortality rankings, underscoring the need to further strengthen screening programs and promote early detection and timely treatment. |
